Converse is stepping up its game.
After seeing much success in refreshing its Chuck Taylor last year, the brand is now deciding to give the same treatment to its All Star style.
The new style is called Converse All Star Modern, and its silhouette is not unlike its 1920 All Star predecessor.
The brand new All Star Modern is all about comfort and comes in two styles: the Hi and Ox. It has circular knit uppers and features like Nike Hyperfuse, contoured full-length Phylon outsole, neoprene tongue and lining all to create a shoe that’s both lightweight and stylish.
The Converse All Star Modern is a perfect fusion of our sport heritage with modern design, says Bryan Cioffi, vice president/creative director of Converse Global Footwear. With this collection, Converse is delivering a comfortable, lightweight product thats new, exciting and modern, but still feels very Converse.
The style of the shoe is also more fashion-forward and modern. It includes a debossed All Star ankle patch and HTM logo on the heel pull tab for a more subtle look. The shoes come in five colors: black, action red, lucid green, soar blue and white.
The entire line will be available on Thursday, June 16 for $140 for the Hi and $130 for the Ox at Converse retail stores and Converse.com.
